Bye,

as much as i would hate to admit it, my one photo a day spree stopped when i was angry at myself for losing my camera. which explains my delay in a lot of things. i would presume to resume soon with another one starting on another date. ho well..... bye

#31 - Last day of my first month

today is the last day of my first month since i started out with this project. this is a photograph of my notebook. it's a birthday present from last year from a couple of friends who were dear. it's only half-filled now in spite of the fact that almost half a year has gone by. i know it sounds apt, but i kinda already expected it to be more filled up by now. but it's a beautiful book, and i love it. what i love even more is that it has went through a long, boring and torrid half a year with me, or so.

amanda's birthday bouquet. we went to far east flora at thomson to navigate through the hoards of flowers in an air-conditioned room to search for the flowers. apparently, it turned out to be some queer combination that looks alright. and no, i have no idea at all what these flowers are called and how long they will live. they take unconventional to a new extreme, like amanda the moron, :D. happy birthday love!

i took a photo of the ceiling fan because it reminded me of this myth about fan blades being able to chop your head off if you get close enough to it. morbid, i know. i can't help it though, haha.

#28 - My favourite letter

yeah? what else does it look like? and how do i describe my joy? how do i describe my joy? this will definitely be my most favourite letter in a whole year. this IS my most favourite letter. i am so so so.. happy. and yes, it's been days and i can't help it. i can't help feeling like a joyful bubble.

i don't know how to describe this picture. it's just that i took it while looking at the door. the rack of shoes are shoes that are most oftenly worn, and on the right side of the door is where the newspapers go.

kitten sleeping outside lift. how obvious.

i like this. it's pretty! my friends are beautiful, yes? haha. great people who stand by me during the worse of times in my jc school years and even now, when i'm out of it. i am thankful. yay.

#23

thrown away shoes.
poor carelessly abandoned shoes.
dumped for a game called "frisbee".
which is not my kind of game.
and when the game is over,
the owners go back for the shoes..
because, it protects their feet and the sand is hot.
): i feel sorry for the used and chucked shoes.

this is what i've been positively looking at everyday, every-freakin'-day. i'm taking a picture of it because i am at this very moment rather angsty when i look at this! i am still jobless. this is very crass - to me. it's vulgar. i shall look at this 2 months down the road and remind self of how i am completely job-unfriendly at a certain streak in time of my life. i spent this month earning only 50bucks. worse streak ever. i shall look at this TODAY and declare that hello, i will BE ABLE TO find a job that will make me satisfied and happy and blessed and rich enough in Jesus' name. today is my last streak of job-un-findable. yes? ok, good. amen. bye.

this is my all time favorite dictionary. fantastic doesn't describe it properly. i saw it lying on the desk and decided to take a photo of it.

this was from staring at the two chairs in front of me during midweek service this wednesday (20may09) evening. so yes, i did go out eventually. i vividly remember eating very expensive subway, but okay, i can deal with that. haha. the light was very dull in the auditorium and i couldn't read properly. gah.

hi, this is lunch on 19may09 cus there was nothing to eat at home. i was sitting in front of the computer staring at something (as is my life of late) while eating this. i need to get out of the house. yes? don't you think so too? by the way, this is fabulous food. it's nissin chilli crab cup noodles. i'll swear by it if i could.

xuan's bag plus a chair cut half off and a photo too square. oh and a foot! mine to be precise.

#16

this is a case of sad-to-say. i happen to only take this photo by myself and not of myself that looks remotely decent of um.. friends. in a dark place with a lousy camera that doesn't focus properly and impatient friends. ok crap, blame self not phone!

i was walking out of my estate, saw this, snapped this, while yet again i was on my way to kovan, this time to T's place so that we can make our way out later.

#14 - Illuminated Lights

while on the way to kovan to meet friends for supper.

introducing my constant companion when i watch grey's anatomy on YT!! a green turtle stolen from my daddy. my sister gave the turtle to him. ok, i really did not steal it. my dad just leaves it in the living room sofa, and since no one is hugging it (poor deprived turtle of hugs) i might as well! right? right!

#12 - Reading

this is the book i am now reading, 7 compiled into one. sometimes it gets really boring and i don't know how i persevere. apparently, after all the five i've read so far, i'm liking the two that were screened into movies the most. i think it's because it makes for easier reading. alright ok, a few more to go and i'll be done. today is the 12th day out of 365 and boy, i'm already starting to wonder how i'm going to manage! ok, i'm hanging on..!

#11 -Through A Hole

i don't know how to describe this. by a stroke of random inspiration, i turned left and pointed my camera towards that piece of metal with several holes punctured into it. then i came closer, and pressed my camera towards a hole, pressed the shutter button.. and presto! i like this though, sort of. this was yesterday (11may09), after a really tiring day spent tagging alongside a photographer himself. how enriching. :)

this is the attempt of me and my sisters' cooking dinner on mother's day (10may09?) yes, i am updating late. so there's a few more to go. part of me tries to remember that this dish was not as bad as i felt it was, but hey.. ok!

#9 - Foilage

this is from today, i don't know how to explain this. it was just an i-feel-like-taking-this when i was walking home toting two large cups of bubble tea. i think it should be credited for existing and looking so beautiful. i think several places would be really bare and dull looking without them. personally, i think they need to be watered. where are the garderners? the government-hired ones? poor flowers....

#8 - Caramel Banana Pancakes

i had a craving, it had to be satisfied. i had the craving for the most insanely longest time, it really really had to be satisfied. you understand that don't you? you're looking at beauuuuutiful banana caramel pancakes with sausages that are mm, totally well worth the money. i know this all happened yesterday.. like 8ofmay09 and that i updated well..one day late. BUT HEY, this is awesome, you need to eat this. the operative word? NEED. i love! xoxo!!

say hi to my sisters! and the nice ugly backdrop which is the window of their room. today, i'm lazy to elaborate on anything. but you have to agree with me that i have gorgeous sisters. ok bye!

#6 - Looking down

why don't i just describe this photo today? ok, because i have been doing nothing the whole day other than sit next to the computer, this is what i see when i turn left and look down. see the reflection at the bottom left? it's part of my living room's floor. i took this photo through the glass. that explains the swirly reflection thingy that you see. and well, the great inconsistency in texture. is it even texture? whatever. it looks floaty to me. bubbly at least. like there's a bubble. ok, i'm rambling tonight.

this is interesting! i am so amused by that very innovative man who hung his laptop bag on the hand-holder thing (is that it?). so smart right! and no one was around taking up space, so might as well right?! haha. i was so amused. today was a particularly interesting night. i've been using my phone camera so well...bad quality stuff! ): i'll try to make it better next time round. haha.

see this? this is the sheep tissue box sitting on top of the printer next to the desktop. i seem to be suffering from a major lack of sleep and have been violently sneezing the whole day. therefore, i am very grateful to my sheep tissue box that has been very useful company while i sit by the computer watching more grey's anatomy. loveyou sheep tissue box. i hope you get refilled enough to suit my needs. haha

well, i apologise for horrid photo quality, it's the phone camera. and if you can't figure it out, that's communion in the season of swine flu. you know? like SARS.. plastic wrap everything, become overly conscious about health and how to take care of yourself? yup, i personally don't think that that's the way to go. as morbid as this may sound, the blood tastes like jelly. in this season, i'm just plain happy that whatever i'm going through is taken and borne for through the cross.

#2 - Across borders

this is the mall where i had my first trip with a friend (T) overseas. okay, maybe not that overseas considering that it's just across that stretch of sea. singapore to malaysia, it's not even that far apart. i was thrilled albeit bored after a while since shopping malls are .. shopping malls and they aren't all that different even across borders, except maybe for the currency and price tags. the fascination of being overseas without my parents was a kick in itself though. i enjoyed that.

you know how everything has a beginning? i choose my beginning with a cup of ice lemon tea. oh it looks plain and simple, but it was one of the best i've ever had and the most expensive. that additional dollop of sugar syrup flavored like lime drugged me. and so, this project begins with a fantastic day that i had at the beach this very day. this is: cheers to all good beginnings and happy endings.
